Ukiyo- the word is Japanese for living in the moment away from the bothers of life. The purpose of this home is just that. Designed for a family – this weekend home is a perfect way for relaxation and rejuvenation from the everyday busy life of a doctor, a software designer, a businessman and children. This 1500 sq.mt house is conceptualised through thorough conversations and amidst the pandemic 

The crux of the design lies in how it’s been designed keeping in mind the post-pandemic situation. Sanitation rooms, emphasis on natural lighting and dedicated workspaces are some highlights of the same. With a monotony of blues and hints of yellows and beiges, the colours bring compliment and invite natural lighting into the house. This is an example of the changing essentials for interior design and architecture, asserted by the pandemic.
